Caroline and I have recently lead session two on body awareness so I thought it was timely to remind you all about this.

Mindfulness helps us to become more aware and comfortable with bodily sensations which can often be triggered by thoughts and emotions. The physical sensations can feed back messages to our brain which creates more thoughts! This can lead to a loop effect of thoughts – body response- thoughts etc. Mindfulness helps us to “step away” from this loop by using acceptance and curiosity.

You might like to spend some time today or over the weekend  gently scanning around your body and noticing any tense areas or physical sensations. Notice relaxed areas too and just simply be curious and accept what you find. You can choose to allow any tense areas to relax if you want.

This can be done anywhere, anytime informally or by listening to the Body Awareness guided session on the app 😊
