It seems that life really is a bit like the weather – it’s constantly changing – sometimes it’s stormy, sometimes sunny or breezy, foggy etc.
We cannot control the weather and neither can we control the weather
patterns of our mind.
We can however learn how to ride the storms and stop fighting against them,whilst also enjoy the pleasant times without clinging to them and wishing they would stay.
Mindfulness practice helps us to feel at peace and calm even in the midst of a storm.
Remember, whatever the weather, it will always change.
If you can, just pause for a moment and take your attention to your breathe – this is how we learn to just be with our weather patterns, by simply coming home to the present moment of our breath.
So, just stop and breathe.
