Yesterday I attended an all day silent retreat. With all the busyness due to my work and this time of the year (writing cards, wrapping presents, sorting the house out, seeing friends etc etc) I very nearly cancelled it but then decided not to as I realised that it would do me (and my friends, family and clients) more good if I did go.
Sometimes it is helpful for us to remember that we need to look after ourselves. I’ve mentioned this in a previous post but wanted to again, especially at this busy time of the year.
So, I hope you all manage to give yourself some kindness over the next week. Whether that be doing things you enjoy, exercising, building in some relaxation and of course doing some formal or informal mindfulness.
What better time is there to be in the moment and looking after yourself than now?
Great message! What does an all day silent retreat involve? It sounds interesting.

Thank you Myles. It was a whole day of mindfulness meditation 🙂 – some guided mindfulness practices and some silent. Even the breaks and lunch was in silence – blissful! 🙂
