What screws us up most in life is the picture and stories in our head of how it’s supposed to be and should be.
If we can learn to notice the stories and drop them by coming back into our present moment of what is actually real, right now – perhaps we can start to find gratitude for what we have; our breath, food, clean water, a roof over our heads, freedom to come and go, opportunities…
Gratitude forms the platform for happiness and without it we tend to feel miserable and trapped in our heads of discontent.
So, can you just stop for a moment, notice the breath and feel gratitude for something in your life?
